1. Hold a current NSW Security Licence (Class 1A minimum) and the ability to maintain the security license. Will be required to pass an I.P.A.T screening test before commencing employment.
2. Demonstrated ability to communicate with residents, other members of the public and staff with a courteous and strong responsive customer focused service and an appreciation of confidentiality.
3. Demonstrated knowledge of responsibilities under WHS legislation, demonstrated knowledge of Manual Handling skills, mandatory reporting in Aged Care and professional legislation in relation to the security industry.
4. Ability to work shift work, and successful experience in a team working environment and the ability to work unsupervised
5. Previous experience dealing with aggressive and challenging behaviours and successful conflict resolution.
6. Knowledge of the operations and performance standards of cleaning and food services within a healthcare environment
