Selection Criteria
  1. Current NSW Security licence (Class 1A) and First Aid Certificate (HLTAID003). Current unrestricted NSW Drivers' Licence (Class C). Ability and willingness to drive/travel as the role requires. This may involve driving long distances.
  2. Experience as a Health and Security Assistant in a healthcare setting, or relevant and related experience in the security and cleaning industries.
  3. Demonstrated knowledge of hygiene, infection prevention and control and environmental cleaning standards.
  4. Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing with patients, other members of the public and staff in a courteous, responsive and customer focused manner and an understanding of confidentiality.
  5. Demonstrated knowledge of responsibilities under Work Health and Safety legislation, Security legislation and the ability to read and follow instructions, policies, duty lists etc.
  6. Knowledge of and willingness to support the provision of person-centred care in a health care environment.
  7. Availability and willingness to participate in a 24 hour/seven-day-a-week rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays.
  8. Computer skills including word processing, email and data entry.
