Health Information/Medicolegal Clerk - Batemans Bay

Selection Criteria:

1. Demonstrated experience and understanding of work flow that encompasses good record management keeping practices (e.g. creating, compiling, retrieving, tracking records) with accuracy and attention to detail.
2. Demonstrated ability, knowledge and understanding of the Health Records and Information Privacy Act 2002 and previous experience in processing requests for health information under legislation.
3. Demonstrated ability to interpret and negotiate client/customer needs and adapt to the different needs of individuals whilst applying a strong customer focus.
4. Demonstrated competency to utilise a range of computer applications such as Microsoft Office with an aptitude to learning new IT systems.
5. Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritise and organise multiple competing tasks whilst working under pressure to meet deadlines.
6. Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, while working effectively in a team environment with an emphasis on communication and handover tasks.
7. Evidence of a current unrestricted drivers’ licence and the ability to maintain. Ability and willingness to drive/travel as the role requires. This may involve driving long distances and overnight stays.
