The ideal candidate will have...

  • Degree, Diploma or Associate Diploma in Health Information Management, the completion of a recognised coding course (HIMAA or OTEN) or other relevant related qualification and/or requisite experience relevant to the role.
  • Coding experience in a major teaching hospital, across a range of specialties with a proven knowledge of Australian Coding Standards, DRGs and Casemix and their application within the health system.
  • Demonstrated skill in the use of computerised Patient Administration Systems and electronic medical records including coding systems (3M Encoder) and sound knowledge of Microsoft Office Products.
