  1. Relevant tertiary qualifications in Physiotherapy and registration as a Physiotherapist with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) OR Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia with post graduate qualifications in a clinically relevant area, and at least 3 years' experience working in Orthopaedics.
  2. Demonstrated experience in orthopaedics with an understanding of the Osteoporosis Refracture Prevention Model of Care, and Hip Fracture Management in the Older Person Clinical Standards, including best practice interventions for assessment, treatment and management of hip fracture and minimal trauma fractures in older persons.
  3. Demonstrated ability to apply advanced clinical expertise in relation to clinical practice and independently make decisions that support good patient care outcomes.
  4. Demonstrated leadership in effective communication through the use of information technology, written, verbal and interpersonal skills with the ability to identify key messages, issues and concerns when communicating with others.
  5. Evidence of clinical leadership skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary framework to plan, deliver and coordinate patient care.
  6. Demonstrated high level knowledge and understanding of person-centred care, quality improvement and evidence­ based practice.
  7. Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritise and organise workload within the team, including to supervise professional, technical and support staff.
  8. Demonstrated commitment to excellence in clinical practice, including the provision of education to others and own professional development.
