Selection Criteria:
- Relevant undergraduate degree with post graduate qualification in genetic counselling or have attained Part I certification/ Board Eligible to Undertake Certification in genetic counselling from the Human Genetics Society of Australasia.
- Ability to provide a professional level of service whilst working under professional supervision in the Hereditary Cancer Clinic.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise professional judgement commensurate with years of experience.
- Demonstrated participation in quality and workplace education, as well as a commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Demonstrated computer literacy with experience with database, presentation and pedigree drawing software.
- Demonstrated excellence in oral and written communication.
- Demonstrated commitment, ability to meet deadlines and high standards of performance.
- Knowledge and understanding of the application of evidence based practice to Genetic Counselling.
