Aboriginal Mental Health Worker Traineeship - Goulburn
Selection Criteria:
- Must be of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent (NB applicants race is a genuine occupational qualification and is authorised under Section 14 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977, NSW).
- Must be willing to provide Proof of Aboriginality with an endorsed common seal (preferably Local Aboriginal Lands Council) or an alternative recognised Aboriginal organisation.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and have established links with their local Aboriginal community.
- Demonstrated knowledge of current health issues relevant to Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander communities.
- Written and verbal communication skills to a standard to meet the academic entry level of university criteria and to undertake a University degree course.
- Willingness and commitment to undertake tertiary study towards the Bachelor of Health Science (Mental Health).
- Current unrestricted drivers’ licence and the ability to maintain. Ability and willingness to drive/travel as the role requires. This may involve driving long distances.
