Aboriginal Health Worker - Gambling Education Project

Selection Criteria:
- This is an Identified Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander Position. Applicants for this position must be of Aboriginal descent through parentage, identification as being Aboriginal and being accepted in the community as such. Exemption is claimed under Section 14 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977.
- Demonstrated understanding of the range of factors that have influenced the health status of Aboriginal communities and the impact and consequences of gambling on Aboriginal and other vulnerable communities.
- Certificate III in Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care or relevant qualification OR willingness to complete and to undertake further training as identified.
- Demonstrated knowledge and or experience in developing, implementing, reviewing and evaluating culturally appropriate health educational programs and or initiatives to Aboriginal communities.
- Demonstrated skills in developing partnerships and collaboration and working with other agencies.
- Highly Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
- Well-developed computer skills including utilising data bases.
- Hold a current valid unrestricted Driver's License valid in Australia
