  1. Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia with a postgraduate qualification related to the specialty area of child and family health, or paediatrics, or adolescent / youth health nursing practice or other related and at least 3 years' experience in an area of Child and Adolescent Health.
  2. Demonstrated understanding of and experience working with children and young people, including marginalised and at-risk groups, as well as health promotion, prevention and early intervention approaches and evidence-based practice.
  3. Demonstrated capacity to engage with children, young people and their families to address various health and mental health problems for children and young people and effectively liaise with multidisciplinary health and social services involved in their care.
  4. Demonstrated ability to work within an interagency context, with an emphasis on relationship building, service delivery, quality of care and team cohesion, and an ability to identify and improve opportunities to enhance integration of care for children, young people and families.
  5. Demonstrated ability to provide leadership in the provision and development of clinical practice by utilisation of evidence-based research with a demonstrated understanding of current NSW Ministry of Health Policies and National and State Standards in relation to children and young people.
  6. Capacity to collaborate with and influence health and other professionals and identify opportunities to enhance integration of care as well as demonstrated ability to negotiate and problem solve.
  7. Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including advanced verbal and written skills forms and advanced skills in using electronic communication modes and record systems.
  8. Valid unrestricted drivers licence for use in NSW/Australia and willingness to travel in the course of employment.
