Selection Criteria to be addressed:

  1. Tertiary qualifications and professional registration/membership as follows: (a) Occupational Therapy – minimum Bachelor Degree and general registration with AHPRA; or (b) Social Work – minimum Bachelor Degree and eligibility for membership of AASW; or (c) Senior Psychologist - a four year degree in psychology and general registration with AHPRA; or (d) Clinical/Forensic Psychologist - Masters or Doctoral degree in Clinical or Forensic Psychology, full registration with the Psychology Board of Australia and endorsement or working towards endorsement as a clinical or forensic psychologist (as appropriate to postgraduate qualification); or (e) Nursing – Current registration to practice as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA)
  2. Demonstrated understanding and extensive knowledge of current principles, policies and practices of health service delivery relevant to the areas of drug & alcohol and youth health
  3. Demonstrated understanding and extensive knowledge of evidence based drug and alcohol interventions
  4. Extensive clinical experience working in a drug & alcohol and/or youth health setting
  5. Demonstrated experience including the ability to work collaboratively with young people when developing and reviewing care plans, conflict resolution skills, advocacy and negotiation skills and escalation of issues to line managers
  6. Demonstrated extensive experience in frontline leadership and management including developing and implementing programs and new services within timeframes, establishing referral pathways, communicating effectively with a range of service providers, promoting system change and delivering outcomes
  7. Demonstrated experience with using advanced reasoning skills including the preparation of high quality written and oral reports. This includes experience with using patient based electronic record systems and office based computer applications
  8. Current driver's license and the willingness to travel for work purposes
