Selection Criteria to be Addressed:  

  1. Tertiary qualifications, professional registration/membership and significant clinical experience as follows: a) Occupational Therapy minimum Bachelor Degree and general registration with AHPRA; minimum 3 years clinical experience in a child and youth mental health setting or b) Social Work - minimum Bachelor Degree and eligibility for membership of AASW minimum 3 years clinical experience in a child and youth mental health setting or c) Nursing Registered Nurse Division 1 with AHPRA; demonstrated experience in a child and youth mental health setting, or d) Senior Psychologist a four year degree in psychology, being a three year degree with a fourth year honours in psychology; or qualifications deemed equivalent by the employer, full registration with the Psychology Board of Australia and 9 years’ experience including clinical experience in a child and youth mental health setting. e) Clinical Psychology Masters Degree or higher in clinical psychology plus full registration
  2. Demonstrated experience in frontline leadership/ management of a clinical service. This includes the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team, to work independently, and to exercise independent judgement on issues requiring advanced clinical reasoning
  3. Demonstrated understanding of the impact of social and cultural factors on social and emotional wellbeing for Aboriginal people, and to work with Aboriginal and other culturally diverse communities in culturally competent ways
  4. Demonstrated competence in evidence based clinical assessment and intervention with children and young people experiencing mental health problems, including family-focused approaches, acute care and early psychosis
  5. Demonstrated partnership building and negotiation skills with a wide range of service providers and well developed understanding of the interface between services
  6. Demonstrated understanding of the legal and policy framework which governs mental health and child protection within NSW
  7. Evidence of an advanced level of verbal/written communication skills, analytical and interpersonal skills and ability to apply these to both clinical and management related tasks
  8. Current NSW Driver Licence (P1 or above) and willingness to use same for work purposes
