  1. Good understanding of Infection Prevention and Control and WH&S requirements.
  2. Demonstrated ability to work as an integral team member under the supervision and guidance of a Staff Supervisor.
  3. Willing to develop professionally, accept constructive criticism and competency assessment for tasks performed as a Sterilisation Technician.
  4. Ability to work in a busy environment with changing priorities.
  5. Commitment to providing a quality customer service by ensuring a focused approach for best practice and patient outcomes.
  6. Sound communication ability with a high standard of written and verbal skills to ensure effective listening, understanding and following direction.
  7. Basic computer skills with ability to learn electronic tracking and Health related programs.
  8. On completion of training and competency assessment, ability to work a rotating roster, including weekends and Public Holidays for the provision of a 7 day service to the Peri-Operative Services Department.
