To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the selection criteria as thoroughly as possible.

  1. Certificate II or III in Health Service Assistance (Sterilisation Services) or equivalent.
  2. Experience working in a Hospital Sterilising Services Department with sound knowledge and understanding of AS/NZS4187:2014, Infection Prevention and Control and WH&S requirements.
  3. Demonstrated ability to work independently or as an integral team member under the guidance of a Staff Supervisor for the process of complex medical devices including Orthopaedic loan equipment.
  4. Ability to prioritise and communicate workload to achieve quality and timely process outcomes.
  5. Commitment to providing a quality customer service by ensuring a focused approach for best practice and patient outcomes.
  6. Sound communication ability with a high standard of written and verbal skills to ensure effective listening, understanding and following direction.
  7. Basic computer skills for electronic tracking and Health related programs.
  8. Ability to work a rotating roster, including weekends and Public Holidays for the provision of a 7 day service to the Peri-Operative Services Department.
