Staff Specialist in Retrieval Medicine, Tamworth Hospital

Big Sky Critical Care is calling you!
The Package is unique: Country life and world-class, pointy end critical care in a picturesque location, and really pleasant place to work. Multiple positions available including permanent and 12 month fixed term contracts.
We are seeking experienced Staff Specialists with an interest in Emergency and Retrieval Medicine. Ever considered working in Tamworth? Ideally located about half way between Sydney and Brisbane, you’re not too far from the city, but you may just find you prefer the ‘big sky’ of the bush. Tamworth’s population is 60,000 and growing at about 5% per year. It is a bustling city with great services and plenty of lifestyle options. Houses are big, beautiful and cheap – to buy or rent.

The Retrieval Service is increasingly busy – with missions ranging across the north west of New South Wales. Like never before, there is now an exciting opportunity to participate in the service. Forget the ICU shuffles; we want you to come help us care for the undifferentiated, seriously injured - all pretty dramatic and fun (in that peculiar Emergency Medicine way).
If academic life is your thing – take heart. Tamworth currently is accredited with ACEM for 18 months of compulsary ED time plus accredited terms in anaesthetics, ICU and medical retrieval. The ED has close links with the University of Newcastle, so there is plenty of scope for undergraduate teaching as well.
Interested? Contact: Dr Stephen McIlveen, Director of Retrieval Medicine Ph. (02) 6767 7700 or Maree Sheaves, Senior Medical Recruitment Consultant Ph. (02) 6767 7780 maree.sheaves@hnehealth.nsw.gov.au
