  1. Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Speech Pathology with eligibility for membership of Speech Pathology Australia.

  2. Senior Speech Pathologist level with extensive and acknowledged clinical skills, preferably gained in a tertiary setting, and with the ability to apply this to the effective management and leadership of a paediatric Speech Pathology service.

  3. Ability to plan strategically to ensure the delivery of high level patient care services, and build collaborative partnerships with staff across SCHN.

  4. Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team effectively, with highly developed interpersonal skills, and extensive experience in communicating with a wide variety of people at all levels.

  5. Commitment to continuing professional development, education, evidence-based practice, quality improvement activities and research.

  6. An understanding of the NSW Health system and knowledge of key reforms and strategic directions in NSW Health, particularly in relation to paediatrics and child health.

  7. Excellent written and oral communication skills, including computer literacy.
