  • Bachelor or post graduate degree in Speech Pathology and eligibility for membership of Speech Pathology Australia.
  • Demonstrated well-developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders. Demonstrated computer literacy and ability to use health information systems.
  • Commitment to participation in professional development and quality improvement activities.
  • Demonstrated competency in the assessment and management of adult dysphagia & communication disorders within a rehabilitation setting. Experience with instrumental assessment including VFSS and FEES.

  • An interest & understanding of the SP role in burns scar management. 

  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise and manage workload demands, meet deadlines and complete activities (including ability to work within scope of practice and seek assistance when required).
  • Proven ability to work independently and to establish effectively collaboratively working relationships within a multi-disciplinary team and interagency networks.
