Speech Pathologist

• Bachelor or post graduate degree in Speech Pathology and eligibility for membership of Speech Pathology Australia.
• Demonstrated well-developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders. Demonstrated computer literacy and ability to use health information systems.
• Demonstrate skills and knowledge in the provision of Speech Pathology service to consumers, carers and families requiring assessment, case management, intervention, appropriate referral and discharge planning.
• Demonstrated competency in the assessment and management of adult dysphagia and communication disorders across a variety of settings.
• Demonstrated skills and knowledge with instrumental assessment including Videofluoroscopic Swallowing Study (VFSS) & Fibreoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES).  
• Demonstrated ability to prioritise and manage workload demands, meet deadlines and complete activities (including ability to work within scope of practice and seek assistance when required). Commitment to participation in professional development and quality improvement activities.
• Proven ability to work independently and to establish effectively collaboratively working relationships within a multi-disciplinary team and interagency networks.
