Social Worker or Psychologist - Violence, Abuse and Neglect
Selection Criteria

Tertiary Qualification in Social Work, Social Science or Social Welfare or other qualification deemed equivalent by the employer with counselling experience.

Eligibility for membership of the recognised professional association and meet the criteria for Level 3 as per the NSW Health Service Health Professional (State) Award or registration with Australian Health Practitioners regulation agency (AHPRA) as a Psychologist.

Demonstrated clinical knowledge of trauma theory and practice, crisis intervention and contemporary intervention skills appropriate for sexual assault and/or domestic violence victims together with a commitment to ongoing professional development and evidence based practice.

Demonstrated high level communication skills and negotiation skills (written, electronic and oral).

Demonstrated ability to work independently, as a member of a multidisciplinary team, prioritise and manage a caseload.

Demonstrated knowledge of service delivery under primary health care principles and practice within a rural/ remote context.

Provision of support to counsellors, medical officers and Police and capacity to provide guidance and support to sexual assault on call workers.

Evidence of current drivers licence and ability to travel as part of the role.
