Social Worker Drug and Alcohol Service

Selection Criteria:

1. Eligibility for membership of AASW
2. Experience working with clients who have drug & alcohol issues including a comprehensive understanding of dependence, treatment, harm reduction, assessment and care coordination.
3. Demonstrated ability to proactively engage with patients to enhance service delivery and to guide others in providing service excellence
4. Excellent decision making and advocacy skills including the ability to interact constructively and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary framework throughout all organisational levels
5. Demonstrated ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and apply professional and ethical boundaries when dealing with situations of a complex or critical nature
6. Ability to initiate, lead, complete and share quality improvement initiatives and service evaluation processes with other staff
7. Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills and the ability to identify key messages, issues and concerns when communicating with others.
8. Advanced computer skills and ability to use health information systems and experience in keeping accurate client health record in accordance with relevant NSW Policies
