Social Worker - Child and Family
Essential Criteria:
Vaccination Category: A
Checks: National Police Check and Working with Children Check
Qualification: Bachelor degree in Social Work or equivalent
Registration: Eligibility for full membership of Australia Association of Social Workers (AASW)
Selection Criteria:
Demonstrated advanced clinical knowledge, skill and significant clinical experience in the provision of Social Work.
- Extensive experience working in early intervention with families and young children, including: parent child interaction, perinatal infant mental health and early intervention with families and young children.
- Demonstrated advanced therapeutic, counselling and groupwork skills and experience in group work with families with complex clinical presentations in relevant clinical settings such as perinatal mental health, child protection, domestic violence and substance misuse.
- Extensive clinical experience providing clinical consultation and facilitating case review, in the context of family centred casework within a community based multidisciplinary team.
- Demonstrated ability in developing and maintaining co-operative professional relationships, with other health teams, government and NGO agencies through the use of well-developed interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
- Demonstrated high level verbal, written and interpersonal skills including the ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences.
- Demonstrated high level organisational and time management skills in an environment of competing clinical/administrative demands.
- Current driver’s licence valid with Australia.
