SNSWLHD - Visiting Medical Officer / Staff Specialist - Gastroenterologist . Queanbeyan

Essential Selection Criteria:

1. Evidence of a Medical qualification registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
2. Evidence of a Fellowship with The Royal Australasian College of Physicians in the area of Gastroenterology or proof of recognition as a specialist by the Specialists Recognition Advisory Committee.
3. Demonstrated recent clinical experience in Gastroenterology at the role delineation of the service.
4. Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and provide leadership of a team.
5. Demonstrated effective clinical communication through the use of information technology and written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
6. Demonstrated commitment to teaching, continuing education, and research and quality improvement.
7. Availability to participate in an on-call roster and to respond on site within a reasonable time.

OASV requirements also include proof of vaccination against influenza and is compulsory for NSW Staff that enter any Residential Aged Care Facility (RACF) or who work in NSW Health owned and operated RACFs.

COVID-19 Vaccination Compliancy

All NSW Health workers are required to have completed a primary course of a COVID-19 vaccine which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA). Additionally, Category A workers are required to receive a booster dose three months after completing the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations. New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health, or provide an approved medical contraindication certificate (IM011 immunisation medical exemption form) certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW.

You will be employed by Southern NSW Local Health District.  The position is primarily located at Queanbeyan Hospital. Secondary appointments within other facilities may occur by mutual agreement.
