Sexual Assault Trauma Counsellor - Lithgow Community Health Centre - Perm PT

Selection Criteria to be addressed:

1. Degree in Social Worker from an accredited course providing eligibility for membership of the Australia Association of Social Workers, or degree in psychology and if fully registered, evidence of registration with the Psychology Board of Australia.
2. Demonstrated high level understanding of the dynamics and effects of sexual assault and demonstrated extensive experience in best practice models for working with children, young people and adults who have experienced sexual abuse/ trauma.
3. Demonstrated and extensive specialist assessment, case management and counselling skills with children, young people and adults with proven ability to make independent professional judgements about case planning and clinical management of complex client groups.
4. Demonstrated high level of understanding of the intersection between issues of sexual assault, domestic violence and child protection.
5. Demonstrated experience working with people who have experienced interpersonal trauma.
6. Demonstrated high level experience/knowledge of Child Protection responding and reporting responsibilities.
7. Experience in, or commitment to, working with individuals and families from indigenous backgrounds and/or diverse cultural backgrounds.
8. Current Driver's Licence and willingness to use for work purpose travel.
