SESLHD - Mental Health National Disability Insurance Scheme and Intellectual Disability Coordinator. St George Hospital

1. Tertiary qualifications in Social Work or Occupational Therapy with eligibility for membership of an appropriate professional body where applicable (AHPRA or AASW) or full registration with an area of practice, endorsement with the Psychology Board of Australia, along with a minimum two-year full-time APAC-accredited postgraduate Masters or Doctorate degree in Psychology.
2. Working knowledge of the National Disability Insurance Scheme and ability to think strategically about mental health staff's roles and tasks in relation to this.
3. Demonstrated expert, person centred, clinical consultancy and the ability to work independently.
4. Excellent negotiation, decision making and advocacy skills including the ability to interact constructively and collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders, throughout all organisational levels.
5. Clinical experience in intellectual disability and mental health clinical service delivery and an understanding of the legislation and reform affecting IDMH and the implications for consumers and service delivery.
6. Ability to work as part of a team and to apply independent professional judgement when dealing with situations of a complex nature.
7. Ability to provide in-depth advice and education to enhance service delivery and to guide and support others in providing service excellence, with the capacity to provide clinical supervision to other staff.
8. Current driver's licence (with a willingness to travel in accordance with the demands of the position).
