  1. Tertiary qualifications in a health or planning related discipline and / or extensive experience in health service and facility planning, including processes that support laboratory planning, asset strategic planning and infrastructure development
  2. Demonstrated understanding of and skills in data analysis and critical appraisal
  3. Demonstrated successful project management experience, and well developed analytical, problem solving and organisational skills
  4. Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, including well developed presentation skills, experience in preparing high level comprehensive reports and a proven ability to develop effective working relationships with staff at all levels
  5. Demonstrated ability to communicate, liaise and negotiate with senior clinicians, managers and staff in pathology services and / or local health districts, and in other government and non-government agencies
  6. Understanding of the practical implications of policy, planning and service development initiatives on service development and delivery
  7. High level computer skills and proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications
  8. Current unencumbered Class C NSW Driver’s licence
