Essential Criteria:
Qualification: Relevant tertiary qualifications including Behavioural Science, Social Work, Psychology, Counselling or equivalent
Selection Criteria:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications including Bachelor in Social Work, Counselling or equivalent and holds a current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or willingness to work towards this.
- Demonstrated skills and experience working with multicultural communities providing a range of responses to children, young people, adults or families who have experienced violence, abuse and neglect, in particular domestic violence.
- Demonstrated understanding of the socio-political context, nature, dynamics and impacts of violence, abuse and neglect and their relevance to the impacts on settlement for CALD and refugee communities.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to build productive working relationships with a range of services, professionals, refugee communities and their leaders.
- Demonstrated understanding of cultural competency and applying culturally safe practices in the workplace
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and in a team environment, with a demonstrated ability to work to deadlines, to manage and complete resource development/policy review/project management and have high level communication skills
- Excellent organisational and written skills with competency in computer programs such as Word, PowerPoint, email systems and training equipment
- Willingness to travel within NSW and has a current driver’s license valid in NSW
