To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the selection criteria as thoroughly as possible.

  1. Must hold a bachelor or post graduate degree in speech pathology which provides eligibility for membership of Speech Pathology Australia.
  2. Extensive post graduate experience working in head and neck, cancer and ENT clinical areas demonstrating advanced clinical knowledge and skills in assessment and management of adult acquired swallowing and communication disorders in these specialist caseloads.
  3. Demonstrated advanced clinical knowledge and postgraduate experience and skills in instrumental dysphagia assessment (VFSS and FEES) and tracheostomy management.
  4. Demonstrated experience in providing clinical leadership, supervision and education for staff and/or students.
  5. Demonstrated leadership in the planning, implementation and evaluation of local service delivery incorporating the quality improvement process.
  6. Demonstrated experience in providing consultation and education to colleagues and external parties that adheres to EBP principles.
  7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and interpersonal skills to develop and maintain effective internal and external partnerships.
  8. Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a member of a team
