Qualification: Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology
Registration: Eligible for practicing membership of Speech Pathology Australia

Selection Criteria:

1. Demonstrated advanced clinical competency in the management of swallowing and communication disorders in an acute adult caseload, including VFSS instrumental assessment.

2. Competency in the clinical management of medically complex neonates and paediatrics with swallowing disorders.

3. Excellent communication and leadership skills are essential with an appreciation of a clinical leads role and responsibilities.

4. Ability to work autonomously with minimal direct clinical supervision, displaying excellent time management and organisational skills.

5. Actively practices the principles of Evidence Based Practice and engages in professional development for relevant clinical areas with strong experience in quality management or research.

6. Prior experience in the provision of clinical supervision and training of staff and/or students.

7. An understanding of service co-ordination, evaluation, planning and development.

8. Demonstrated commitment to the NSW CORE values.
