Selection Criteria

  1. Tertiary qualifications and current registration with AHPRA for Registered Nurse and relevant post registration qualification in the related speciality with at least 3 years full time equivalent Mental Health experience, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, OR Tertiary qualifications and eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers for Social Workers. For Clinical Psychologist must hold a post graduate degree in Clinical psychology (Masters and/or Doctorate or PHD) that provides eligibility for full membership of the APS and ACPA.
  2. Understanding of and commitment to recovery oriented services and consumer involvement in service design, implementation and evaluation.
  3. Demonstrated advanced skills in the comprehensive assessment and management of complex mental health consumers in the community, including assessment and advanced skills in clinical risk mitigation.
  4. Demonstrated understanding of innovative evidence based practice including in the management of suicidality, experience implementing evidence based practices into service planning and evaluation of service changes, with experience in implementing and evaluating novel services and working with the lived experience workforce.
  5. Demonstrated experience working across inpatient and community sites, and experience in ensuring integrated care and effective partnerships with GPs and non-governmental organisations.
  6. Demonstrated capacity to provide clinical leadership, supervision, consultancy, and a willingness to show leadership and embrace change in the coordination and delivery of care
  7. Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills, time management and self-sufficiency in computing including ability to work with the Microsoft Office suite.
  8. Evidence of a current unrestricted driver’s licence and the ability to maintain. Ability and willingness to drive/travel as the role requires. This may involve driving long distances and overnight stays.


Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination against Specific Diseases
This is a Category ‘A’ position, please read and understand NSW Health policy directive PD2022-030. All new employees must agree to comply with the requirements outlined in this policy. OASV requirements also include proof of vaccination against influenza and is compulsory for NSW Staff that enter any Residential Aged Care Facility (RACF) or who work in NSW Health owned and operated RACFs.

All NSW Health Category A workers are required to have received at least three doses of a COVID-19 vaccine. You will be required to provide a record of your COVID-19 vaccination status if successful.
