About the Role
The role is based at Concord hospital but will manage patients across the SLHD catchment area. Concord Repatriation General Hospital has a well-earned reputation for excellence in healthcare for over 70 years. Building on its proud heritage of caring for the Veteran community, the hospital now services the local communities of Concord, Strathfield, Burwood and beyond.
  
This position works with the palliative care MDT to provide community based care for patients of the SLHD palliative care service. Provide senior clinical leadership within the SLHD Palliative Care Physiotherapy service provision including optimisation of patient/client care delivery, as well as supporting the mentoring and development of Physiotherapy staff and students. This is a District wide position, providing physiotherapy care to inpatients / outpatients and community dwelling patients / clients.

Ideal Candidate
  • Current AHPRA Physiotherapy Registration to practice as a physiotherapist, degree, or equivalent in physiotherapy and eligibility for membership of the Australian Physiotherapy Association. Current NSW Driver's Licence (P1 and P2 acceptable).
  • Demonstrated advanced clinical knowledge, skill and significant clinical experience in the provision of clinical care across a wide range of practice areas within their discipline, including palliative care, with experience at Level 2 or higher.
  • Demonstrated high level verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences.
