Senior Clinical Coder - Bega

Selection Criteria

1. Successful Completion of HIMAA Clinical Coding Advanced qualifications, currency of qualifications within last 2 years and evidence of coding proficiency in ICD-10-AM, with a minimum of 2 years coding experience across a range of DRGs.
2. Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of Casemix, Diagnostic Related Groups (DRGs), and Activity Based Funding (ABF) principles and an understanding of coding data quality initiatives.
3. Completed Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment OR an understanding of the requirements of the course and a commitment to complete the course.
4. Demonstrated proficiency in the use of health information systems using clinical coding software, and the use of MS Office, specifically with Outlook, Word and Excel.
5. Good organisational and time management skills with the ability to establish priorities to meet conflicting deadlines with minimal supervision to achieve effective outcomes.
6. Evidence of a current, unrestricted class C driver’s licence. Ability and willingness to travel for work purposes. This may involve driving long distances and overnight stays as required
