Selection Criteria to be Addressed:
  1. Qualifications and experience in child/youth mental health or related area Occupational Therapy & Social Work: minimum Bachelor degree and 3 years’ experience Nursing: minimum Bacehlor degree in nursing and post graduate qualifications in mental health/related area and minimum 5 years’ experience Senior Psychologist: 4 year degree in psychology (3 year degree with 4th year honours in psychology) or qualifications deemed equivalent by the employer and minimum 9 years’ experience Clinical Psychology: Masters Degree or Doctorate in clinical psychology and significant experience
  2. AHPRA registration required as follows: • Occupational therapy – full registration • Senior Psychologist – full registration as a psychologist • Nursing – full registration as a Division 1 registered nurse • Clinical psychology – full registration as a psychologist with endorsement to practice as a clinical psychologist For social work eligibility for membership of AASW is required.
  3. Demonstrated expertise and advanced practice skills with the ability to provide an expert consultancy and clinical service for children and young people with complex mental health and psychosocial concerns.
  4. Demonstrated organisational skills and ability to work autonomously with a broad scope, and to manage a demanding workload with competing priorities.
  5. Demonstrated ability to work within an interagency collaboration, fostering cooperative partnerships to support the delivery of wraparound services and achieve defined outcomes for children and young people.
  6. Demonstrated leadership in clinical service planning and an ability to work within an interagency framework to contribute to development of a new service model and to organisational and cultural change to support implementation.
  7. Demonstrated advanced communication and interpersonal skills across a variety of mediums including effective negotiation skills with a range of stakeholders and proven application of practice development frameworks to improve clinical practice.
  8. Current unrestricted NSW driver’s license and willingness to use same for work purposes.
