- MBBS or equivalent, current general registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
- At least one post graduate years’ experience as a medical officer within Australia by the commencement of the 2022 clinical year and have a genuine interest in a future career as a GP Rural Generalist with an advanced skill set.
- Applicants must be a current GP Trainee (enrolled in either FRACGP/FARGP or FACRRM) OR eligible for GP training AND in the process of applying. Evidence of acceptance onto a GP Training Pathway is mandatory prior to commencement of advanced skills training.
- Demonstrated commitment to providing both General Practice and hospital based advanced skills services within a rural NSW location and how advanced skills training (state your advanced skills preference) will benefit your career as a Rural Generalist.
- Evidence of action and dedication to acquiring the knowledge and skills essential for practice in a rural or remote setting.
- Evidence of being a good communicator, including both oral and written skills and a sensitive approach to clear communication with patients, carers, other professional and the public.
- Sound knowledge of NSW Health Code of Conduct and NSW Health CORE Values, including bullying and harassment policy and guidelines.
