Rehabilitation Coordinator - Occupational Therapist

- A bachelor or post graduate degree in Occupational Therapy with current authority to practice as an Occupational Therapist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Knowledge, skills and experience to meet the requirements of the NSW Health Professionals Award Level 2 and a current licence to drive in NSW.
- Demonstrated highly proficient written, verbal, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Extensive specialist or broad generalist knowledge, clinical proficiency and ability to work collaboratively as a member of a multidisciplinary team, taking leadership in clinical decision making.
- Ability to effectively prioritise and organise own work and a detailed understanding of the principles of case management in a community rehabilitation setting and a willingness to obtain and maintain the status of approved case manager with the NSW iCare - Lifetime Care and Support Scheme.
- Demonstrated commitment to evidence based practice and demonstrated knowledge of and high skill level in the use of a range of assessment tools and contemporary clinical interventions to address the sequalae of acquired brain injuries. Recent experience in planning, undertaking and evaluating rehabilitation programs in a community setting.
- Demonstrated experience in leading ongoing quality improvement activities and a knowledge of the research process.
- Demonstrated high level problem solving and project management skills.
- Demonstrates contemporary knowledge of the range of cognitive, perceptual and behavioural issues that arise for people with acquired brain injuries and the way in which these affect a person's instrumental and basic activities of daily living and their participation in social roles.
