- Current Registration as a Registered Midwife or Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
- Demonstrated skills, knowledge and competency in the provision of midwifery care relevant to an acute hospital setting.
- Proven clinical problem solving skills to maximise patient care.
- Demonstrated effective clinical communication through the use of information technology and written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to plan and coordinate midwifery care in a multidisciplinary team environment providing outcome based care.
- Knowledge, skills and abilities in Neonatal Intensive Care Nursing and acute neonatal settings providing care consistent with the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Council competency standards.
- Demonstrated commitment and responsibility for professional practice through continuing development of self and others with recent attendance at FONT (Fetal Welfare Obstetric Emergencies and Neonatal Resuscitation and/or also Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics) courses or equivalent.
- Participation in a seven day rotating roster including public holidays and night duty.
