Registered Midwife - Maternal Fetal Medicine, Midwifery Group Practice - Royal Hospital for Women
Selection Criteria
1. Current registration as a Registered Nurse and/or Midwife with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia.
2. Current NSW driver’s licence
3. Demonstrates an ability to be self-directed, collaborative, innovative and motivated in addition to excellent communication and advocacy skills, including conflict resolution skills within both small and large teams.
4. Demonstrates a deep understanding and knowledge of continuity of carer/primary health care models of midwifery care in addition to an explicit understanding of strengths based philosophy and how this is relevant to the care of women whose pregnancy is complex
5. Demonstrated ability to work within and across a multidisciplinary team as an integral team member
6. Demonstrates accountability, competence, proficiency and responsibility for own midwifery practice related to antenatal care, labour, birth, postnatal care, lactation and infant feeding consistent with the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Council competency standards for midwives and the NSW Health Breastfeeding Policy and the BFHI Principles
7. Demonstrated ability and willingness to provide compassionate care for women experiencing perinatal loss and pregnancy termination
8. Demonstrated commitment to participate in activities related to reflective practice and peer review
