- Current Registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency(AHPRA).
- Current International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (ILBLC) certificate.
- Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of breastfeeding and planning of care for complex cases.
- Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of the 10 steps to Successful Breastfeeding and the WHO Code for the Marketing of Breastmilk Substitutes.
- Demonstrated ability to function both within a multidisciplinary team and as an autonomous practitioner with effective written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to Quality Improvement activities through initiation and participation and working knowledge of the accreditation system.
- Demonstrated commitment to evidence-based-practice through the initiation and participation in research-based projects and activities.
- Proven ability in teaching and evaluating sessions.
