To apply for this position, please address the following Selection Criteria

  1. Practices as a Registered Midwife in accordance with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia Professional Standards including National Competency Standards for the Midwife, Code of Professional Conduct for Midwives, and Code of Ethics for Midwives, to deliver professional competent care in line with public expectations.
  2. Recent midwifery experience including, antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care and lactation support.
  3. Demonstrated effective clinical communication through the use of information technology, written and verbal means; and sound interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate with a diverse range of people.
  4. An understanding of woman centred care and demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of the multidisciplinary health care team.
  5. Demonstrated ability to lead, supervise, delegate, and negotiate with others to deliver a quality midwifery care.
  6. Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritise and organise workload and deliver care with integrity and accountability
  7. Demonstrated application of evidence based practice and critical thinking to advocate for an implement individualised women-centred care.
  8. Demonstrated ability to manage autonomous caseload and flexible on-call hours within the model of care.
