Regional Aboriginal Environmental Health Project Officer

1. Tertiary qualification in Environmental Health, Public Health, Built Environment, and relevant work experience in Environmental Health.
2. Extensive experience in delivering effective environmental health programs and projects with Aboriginal communities.
3. Demonstrated understanding of environmental health issues as they relate to Aboriginal people in NSW, the public health and environmental health network in NSW and relevant NSW legislation.
4. Demonstrated capacity for self-directed work along with the ability to work as part of a team, delegate effectively and collaborate with stakeholders on projects.
5. Ability to motivate and coordinate colleagues, communities and other agencies to deliver effective projects.
6. High level negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to write clearly and concisely.
7. Demonstrated and extensive experience in mentoring, coaching and/ or supporting EH practitioners.
8. Demonstrated understanding of the principles of project management and proven experience in managing, delivering and evaluating projects (including statistical analysis).
