To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the selection criteria as thoroughly as possible.
- Proven technical expertise in treatment planning and delivery, with experience and proven ability to implement new services or treatment techniques and AHPRA Registration as a Radiation Therapist.
- Well-developed leadership and staff management skills to produce an efficient model of service delivery with the completion of, or the intention to undertake; higher study in radiation therapy or a relevant field with an appropriate leadership or managerial component.
- Demonstrated ability to create and maintain a harmonious workplace, as well as demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills, both spoken and written including the ability to clearly and effectively communicate complex issues to all levels of staff within the multidisciplinary team.
- Demonstrated capacity to supervise, educate, train and objectively assess radiation therapists and student RTs in current and new practices and technologies and provide advice to remedy deficiencies in knowledge and skills.
- Demonstrate the ability to be responsible for the day-to-day operational management of a radiation planning or treatment unit.
- Ability to make decisions relating to the management and leadership of radiation therapy teams both independently and also in consultation with the Radiation Therapy Management Group.
- Capacity to present LMCTC in a strong and positive manner to all stakeholders: and a strong understanding of the service delivery models within the public healthcare sector.
- Demonstrated active participation in research or development through associated reports, presentations, conferences, publications or workplace in-services: with a demonstrated knowledge of the principles and practices of research participation.
