Essesntial Criteria:

Qualification: Degree in Psychology or a qualification deemed by the employer
Registration: Full registration as Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency AHPRA

Selection Criteria:

  1. Demonstrated experience in working with adolescents, youth and their families/carers with emotional and behavioural issues using evidence based and family focussed treatments e.g.: Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Family Therapy, Trauma Informed Care, Attachment Based Interventions and other appropriate cognitive, behavioural and emotional models of intervention.
  2. Demonstrated high level interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written) and ability to build therapeutic relationships.
  3. Demonstrated ability to assess, plan, initiate, manage complex cases, work to goals and targets for the adolescents, youth and their families
  4. Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team and with other service providers to achieve optimal outcomes for adolescents, youth and their families.
  5. Experience working in mental health and a knowledge of the NSW Mental Health Act (2007).
  6. A working knowledge of current Child Protection procedures.
  7. Current Drivers Licence valid within Australia and willing to use for work purposes.
