Selection Criteria / Questions 

  1. Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and/or demonstrated relevant industry experience in rehabilitation and or chronic disease. 
  2. Evidence of understanding of equity, access and cultural issues for Aboriginal people 
  3. Demonstrated ability to provide expert advice which is strategic and adds value to a project at a statewide level. 
  4. Demonstrated experience in project management and the implementation of local/regional projects, frameworks and/or initiatives with state wide application. 
  5. High level skills in conceptual and systemic thinking on the successful application of innovative approaches.
  6. Sound knowledge of the health system in NSW and the national context and broad knowledge and understanding of policy issues related to chronic disease management. 
  7. Demonstrated ability to interpret complex information rapidly and accurately. 
  8. Demonstrated experience working in a complex environment dealing with and influencing senior management and external stakeholders to meet project needs in a timely manner.

COVID-19 Vaccination Compliancy

All NSW Health workers are required to have completed a primary course of a COVID-19 vaccine which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA). Additionally, Category A workers are required to receive a booster dose three months after completing the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.  New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health, or provide an approved medical contraindication certificate (IM011 immunisation medical exemption form) certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW.

Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.
