Outreach and Transitional Child and Family Health Support Nurse

- Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Post graduate qualifications in Child and Family Health Nursing and Immunisation accreditation and at least 3 years fulltime equivalent clinical experience in Child and Family Health Nursing. Current licence to drive in NSW with the ability to drive extensively for work purposes, including regular overnight stays.
- Demonstrated effective communication including verbal, written and interpersonal skills and information technology skills to provide complex speciality services and influence innovative Child and Family Health Nursing practice.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively and collaboratively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary health care team.
- Demonstrated ability to provide complex care and advanced clinical Child and Family Health Nursing skills.
- Demonstrated clinical expertise and clinical leadership in the area of speciality, including ability to develop Child and Family Health Nursing speciality clinical practice and service delivery.
- Demonstrated ability to practice in accordance with the Registered Nurses Standards of Practice, Child and Family Nursing Clinical Practice and Competency Standards, Code of Ethics for Nurses, and Code of Professional Conduct for Nurses (Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia).
- Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to apply in practice the Supporting Families Early Framework, NSW Breastfeeding Policies, and the Child and Family Nursing Professional Practice Framework including a commitment to quality improvement, practice development and evidenced-based practice.
- Demonstrated ability to initiate, engage and deliver community health development activities.
