Registration:
Current and valid registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
Selection Criteria:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in management and/or speciality, or working towards attainment in same, or extensive clinical experience in the field that demonstrates ability to perform the role as deemed appropriate by WSLHD.
- Demonstrated skills in leadership and management within the Emergency Medicine setting as deemed relevant by WSLHD.
- Demonstrated recent experience and understanding of roster management and staff resources utilisation and associated accountabilities in relation to stock and effective budget utilisation.
- Demonstrated application of evidence based practice and critical thinking to patient care
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills, ability to negotiate conflict solutions and performance management
- Demonstrated understanding of emergency care delivery and the ability to lead and implement change to enhance clinical service delivery
- Demonstrated ability to support education needs and deliver education for patients/clients and health care professionals
