Nurse Unit Manger Level 2 - Day Surgery Unit (Bankstown Hospital) - Perm F/T

• Demonstrated senior nursing experience with experience in leading staff and managing services in a relevant setting.
• Proven ability to ensure the human, physical and financial resources of the unit are managed to provide safe, compassionate, quality care that is culturally responsive
• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and engage with patients/consumers, carers and the multidisciplinary health care team to identify and ensure responsiveness of care needs
• Demonstrated capacity to interact with others in a personable and professional manner and manage conflicts and performance issues when they arise
• Demonstrated evidence of the use of critical thinking as it relates to the management of the unit and the delivery of evidenced based nursing care
• Demonstrated understanding and participation in risk management, work health and safety and quality improvement in the workplace
• Demonstrated understanding of Best Practice guidelines for Ambulatory Surgery and Procedures.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the Clinical Innovation nine key elements of Perioperative Care.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the clinical implementation of the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence, Perioperative tests.
