Essential Criteria:

Registration: Registered Nurse (Division 1) with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with endorsement as Nurse Practitioner.

Selection Criteria:

  1. Registered Authorised Nurse Practitioner with APHRA that has completed the Tertiary requirements including a Master's Degree (Nurse Practitioner) Guidelines on endorsement as a Nurse Practitioner with at least 5 years full time experience in mental health.
  2. Extensive advanced practice experience and/or tertiary or post basic qualification in Mental Health.
  3. Demonstrated ability to work with a high degree of autonomy and accountability whilst working collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary and multi-service environment. Able to seek assistance when required and take advice and direction.
  4. Demonstrated high level knowledge and advanced clinical and mental health nursing skills including comprehensive assessment, interpretation of diagnostics, implementation of treatment modalities and relevant referral skills applied to a broad range of challenging, complex and changing situations.
  5. Demonstrated advanced clinical leadership skills, including negotiation, liaison, interpersonal and problem-solving within mental health settings.
  6. Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing quality improvement activities in mental settings and participating and conducting research activities.
  7. Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, advanced computer skills and use of software programs such as the suite of Microsoft Office, Electronic Medical Records or equivalent
  8. Current valid NSW Driver's Licence or ability to work at different locations.
