  1. Holds unconditional specialist registration with Australian Health Practitioners Registration Authority (AHPRA), or holds general registration with AHPRA in the final 6 months of training approaching fellowship and specialist registration.
  2. Evidence of Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, specialising in Geriatric Medicine or an Advanced Trainee in the final 6 months of training approaching fellowship and/or proof of recognition as a specialist by the Specialists Recognition Advisory Committee.
  3. Demonstrated knowledge and experience of contemporary evidence based best practice In Geriatric Medicine and evidence of competence in skills relevant to Australian rural hospital practice.
  4. Demonstrated ability to work effectively and harmoniously with medical and other colleagues as part of a multidisciplinary health care team and demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients, and colleagues
  5. Demonstrated commitment to teaching and training at both undergraduate and postgraduate level.
  6. Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to involvement in quality improvement and research programs, and an ability to work in a computerised environment.
  7. Demonstrated commitment to continuing self-education and development, including evidence of participation in continuing medical education / continuing professional
  8. Demonstrated commitment to behaviours which align to the NSW Health CORE values and MLHD Values, goals and strategies.
