To apply, please address the following Selection Criteria

  1. Relevant qualification or equivalent work experience and a current drivers licence.
  2. Evidence of personal experience as a consumer of mental health services, and the ability to utilise the lived experience to support others with their own mental health recovery journey, whilst drawing on effective strategies to maintain wellness.
  3. An understanding of and commitment to consumer led recovery principles.
  4. Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to plan, implement and evaluate group and individual peer led interventions or consultations.
  5. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team and actively contribute to clinical care planning processes in a team setting.
  6. Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective partnerships with a range of key stakeholders, GPs, non-government organisations, inpatient and community MHDA teams, consumers and carers.
  7. Demonstrated clear written and verbal communication and negotiation skills including information technology skills.
  8. Demonstrated knowledge of and understanding of consumer participation and partnership, Person Centred Care, Trauma Informed Care, Consumer Led Recovery, Rights and Responsibilities for Consumers, NSW Mental Health Act 2007 and Amendments and National Mental Health Standards (2010).
