Selection Criteria 

  1. Personal lived experience of a mental illness, with willingness and demonstrated ability to utilise the lived experience to support others in their own mental health recovery journey.
  2. Certificate IV in Peer Work (or enrolled in and currently studying Cert IV Peer Work).
  3. Demonstrated commitment to the incorporation of Mental Health Recovery and Trauma Informed Care principles into day to day practice.
  4. Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team and actively contribute to clinical care planning processes in a team setting.
  5. Demonstrated effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication and problem solving skills with an ability to develop and maintain effective partnerships with a range of key stakeholders including, GPs, non-government organisations, inpatient and community mental health teams, consumers and carers.
  6. Demonstrated ability to prioritise competing demands and work independently in consultation with the multidisciplinary teams and other PCLI staff.
  7. Demonstrated computer literacy skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office and health applications.
  8. Current NSW Driver’s License (Class C – Unrestricted).
