Selection Criteria
- Personal lived experience of a mental illness, with willingness and demonstrated ability to utilise the lived experience to support others in their own mental health recovery journey.
- Certificate IV in Peer Work (or enrolled in and currently studying Cert IV Peer Work).
- Demonstrated commitment to the incorporation of Mental Health Recovery and Trauma Informed Care principles into day to day practice.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team and actively contribute to clinical care planning processes in a team setting.
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication and problem solving skills with an ability to develop and maintain effective partnerships with a range of key stakeholders including, GPs, non-government organisations, inpatient and community mental health teams, consumers and carers.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise competing demands and work independently in consultation with the multidisciplinary teams and other PCLI staff.
- Demonstrated computer literacy skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office and health applications.
- Current NSW Driver’s License (Class C – Unrestricted).
