Medical Physics Specialist (Radiation Oncology)- Temp FT
To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the selection criteria as thoroughly as possible.
- A Bachelor’s degree in physics, medical physics or equivalent discipline from a tertiary institution in Australia or equivalent from overseas, per National Office of Overseas Skills Recognition (NOOSR) requirements.
- A postgraduate degree in physics, medical physics or equivalent discipline from a tertiary institution in Australia or equivalent from overseas (per NOOSR requirements).
- Certification in Radiation Oncology Medical Physics or Radiotherapy Equipment Commissioning and Quality Assurance from the Australasian College of Physical Scientists and Engineers in Medicine (ACPSEM) . International candidates eligible for registration by the ACPSEM and candidates who have completed the ACPSEM Training Education and Assessment Program (TEAP) written exam and expect to be certified within 6 months can also apply.
- Significant experience in radiation oncology physics and a demonstrated ability to achieve high standards of professional practice, along with evidence of a track record in commissioning radiotherapy equipment and/or implementation of new technologies.
- Evidence of initiative and ability to prioritise amongst competing service requirements, and willing to work flexible work hours (early or late) at times, as required.
- Evidence of oral and written communication skills and ability to work effectively both in a multi-disciplinary team as well as independently.
