Selection criteria to be addressed:

  1. Proven experience/qualifications in media management, journalism or public relations
  2. Capacity to provide complex and sensitive advice, and apply sound analytical and problem solving skills, particularly with regards to issues management and the formulation of appropriate responses
  3. Excellent written communication skills and experience in production of written communications which includes media releases, corporate publications and newsletters and copy for digital and social media
  4. Excellent interpersonal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders and to adapt communication style to fit the client
  5. Demonstrated ability to plan, manage and coordinate corporate events, VIP visits and media attendance and conferences
  6. Proven good time-management skills with the ability to manage and work under conflicting and extremely tight deadlines
  7. Demonstrated understanding of major issues in the public healthcare industry and health service delivery specifically in relation to public affairs practice
