Selection criteria to be addressed:
- Proven experience/qualifications in media management, journalism or public relations
- Capacity to provide complex and sensitive advice, and apply sound analytical and problem solving skills, particularly with regards to issues management and the formulation of appropriate responses
- Excellent written communication skills and experience in production of written communications which includes media releases, corporate publications and newsletters and copy for digital and social media
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders and to adapt communication style to fit the client
- Demonstrated ability to plan, manage and coordinate corporate events, VIP visits and media attendance and conferences
- Proven good time-management skills with the ability to manage and work under conflicting and extremely tight deadlines
- Demonstrated understanding of major issues in the public healthcare industry and health service delivery specifically in relation to public affairs practice
